I would like to see an ap of both hips, it looks like there is a significant amount of varus that should be corrected.
With this huge implant CT generates enough artifacts, the assessment of “minimal bridging bone” is probably wrong.
Re-nailing maintains the same axial alignment; she probably needs axial correction and a classic blade-plate, with compression and ICBG. Save the money and do not buy BMP’s…

Just insert the new nail more medially, using either a Poller screw or K-wire(s) preventing its slidind to the old position.

Nice idea, but not really practical. The volume of the head of the nail does not leave enough space for a poller screw, the lag screw position is also predetermined.
Going more medial could also disturb the circumflex artery threatening AVN

It definitely provides enough space for Poller wires.

And it will be in place.

I don't mean so medial like piriformis or deeper, merely correct the existing too lateral and anterior point to the conventional one (tip of the trochanter).
