I agree with Tim and his colleagues about the treatment plan.
 
i have used the Synthes 4.5 LCP with 1.7 mm cable system... advantage
of locking screws is that they can be inserted unicortical in the
proximal fragment.  
 
i use lateral position, regular table, lateral approach. easier to
achieve reduction compared to supine position on fracture table.
