  The diagnosis of Paget's disease is indeed not unlikely for those X rays.
   
  Was he ever biopsied, could it be done.
  If it is Paget's, it could respond to antiresorptie therapy
 especially cacitonin which has analgesic effect.
  Another suggestion ould be a therapeutic test with Calcitonin.
