CT images/xrays confirm incongruity of articular surfaces as well as intraarticular screws.

removing just those screws which have penetrated the joint may take some pain away. 

Eventually fusion  will be indicated. (her age is 25 and she is not suitable for ankle replacement. Good prostheses like 'STAR' ankles are available but not suitable at this age. A failed ankle replacement will be a difficult situation to deal with in a young patient)
