Local corticosteroid injections for CTS have been utilized for years to alleviate symptoms. The effectiveness and duration of benefit from these injections have not been clearly outlined [32]. There is very little information as to the optimal corticosteroid to use, dosage, or location of the injection. It has been demonstrated that reoccurrence of symptoms after corticosteroid injection range from 8%to 100%[33]. Much of this depends on severity of symptoms, study design, and outcome measures.
