Например, на странице 1075 в книжке  Wolfe S.W. et al. (eds.). Green’s 
operative hand surgery. - Churchill Livingstone, 2011. - 6th ed., Vol.1 
написано :«The radial nerve innervates the brachioradialis (BR) and 
extensor carpi radialis longus (ECRL) before it divides into its two 
terminal branches, the posterior interosseous (motor) and superficial 
(sensory) branches. Clinically, I believe that it is extremely 
difficult, if not impossible, to determine the integrity of the ECRB in 
the presence of an intact ECRL, and the presence of the ECRB is variable 
in posterior interosseous nerve palsy. Spinner [ 100] noted that the 
ECRB receives its innervation in
most limbs (58%) from the superficial radial nerve, rather than from the 
posterior interosseous nerve.»

Можно еще  просто посмотреть анатомию, и тогда все станет понятным.
