I would agree. I would consider a muscle transfer if a free flap is not an option you might try one the bellies of gastrochnemius. This sometimes gives
good results a pan-talar arthrodesis with a very long implant from calcaneus up to the knee might be a good solution. This would not heal if not stabilized. A very challenging case and I would like to wish you very best of luck. I wouldn't amputate at age of 35 years if healthy.
